- For Example the heading of this paragraph, ‘ capital letter usage.’ Is written in capital letters
- Capitalize ”I” and ‘ He, She, They while referring to the Gods.
There are only two instances where capital letters are used. It should be remembered that capital letters. Capital should be used only in the above ways to ensure proper usage.

Vowel
Independent sound A, E, I, O,U
It would be impossible to speak English without vowels, because vowels play such an important role in Basic English usage.
Most English words need atleast one vowel to create a linking sound to the word. Then again. There atre a number of words that do not require a vowel. They all have a ‘Y’ give them an ‘I’ sound.
By its ‘I’ sound ‘Y’ becomes a semi vowel. The absence of a vowel is made up by the presence of ‘Y’
For Eg words like spy, by, try, dry, fry, shy, cry have the sounds ‘I’ sound of ‘Y’.
In simple English, vowels are sounds that have their own independent phonation (sound). Therefore the vowels in English language are A, E, I, O, U.
CONSONANTS
A consonant is a letter which contains a dependent sound. It cannot make its own sound. Hence a vowel sounds has to be added to a consonant to complete the sound. Apart from vowels, all other letters are consonants
SEMI VOWEL
Here are some examples youth, young, wave, ward, etc. The ‘Y’ and ‘W’ giving ‘ya’ and ‘wa’. In pronouncing the above words consonants are seen in the letter forms. It is found that ‘Y’ give an ‘I’ sound to words like fry, dry, shy, cry and in words like wool, wood, woman
SEMI CONSONANTS
The sound made by ‘H’ in words like honor, honorable and hour is that of ‘O’ in other words, the form of ‘H’ is in the form of a consonant creating the ‘ha’ sound.
